Provençal Pairings: Wine with Food

The Salt of the Sea

Today’s tasting may be the most unusual I have done. It is a wine that, if blindfolded when tasted, would not have said “rosé” to me, although it wouldn’t have said red or white, either. It has none of the traditional red fruits associated with rosé, nor its distinct floral aromas. On the nose, it is briny... [...]

Acquiesce Winery’s Sparkling Grenache Blanc to Debut on Friday, July 13

Grenache Blanc is widely grown in both Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône. It’s summer — isn’t everyone already drinking #roséallday? Heck, we’ve moved way past #roséallsummer to #roséallyear. Isn’t every swimsuit-clad millennial toasting #yayrosé on Instagram? Wait! I think it’s #roséyay. Or is it #yeswayrosé (whatever that means)? Oh, just raise the damned glass and toast to the once humble rosé! [...]
